Which Caliber to compliment my 6.8 Western

I am currently running a Browning 6.8 Western Speed Long Range with a McMillian stock. This is my long range setup. What caliber do you all think would compliment this caliber for anything up to ELK size. Would be my backup rifle/deer blind rifle.

deer blind means short barrel 20-21", Elk equals 30 cal. 300saum for the reloader load 150 for deer or 185 for elk. if factory rifle and ammo 300wsm would be my second choice and 6.5prc first choice

Well my 6.8 western is my elk rifle. I was thinking 6.5 prc and have looked at 300 wsm. Thanks for the input.

6.5Prc is what your thinking, then a 6.5 it should be.
That would compliment the 6.8.

Yea I have always been open to suggestions then I research the cartridges. I like that part of it.

Great caliber but way more then I need for Oklahoma deer. Although would make a fantastic elk rifle.

6.8 as your deer rifle and 300 for your elk rifle...

I have also thought about that. With the 26 in barrel I'm pushing the 165 ABLR at 3006 fps. I'm sure I would loose some velocity but could just focus on reloading one caliber.

Put a 130 grain ballistic tip on them and they'll ruin any deer's day
