Hornady 6.5 eld-x bullets sticking

I have been shoot 140gr Berger Elite hunter but thought I would try Hornady 6.5 143gr Eldx...Loaded some over H1000 COAL 2.940. The bullet are so tight that it is hard to close the bolt and when i tried to eject an unfired round the bullet stuck in the barrel. Any one ever have this problem? Berger 140's amd 156's no problem
Jamming bullet into the lands

In the absence of a case gauge one can still measure max coal. Take the ejector out of your bolt so it doesn't skew results (only need a pin punch and small hammer but watch for the spring).

Take a case fired in your rifle but not resized and just barely crimp the neck with pliers so a bullet slides through by hand with some tension. Seat the bullet by hand long and color it with a sharpie.

Gently chamber the dummy round and close the bolt. Now carefully extract the round and measure it. This should be the touch length for your chamber and I would start .020 back from that.

* we sharpie'd the bullet in case it sticks in the chamber and pulls out when ejecting the dummy. You will be able to see where the marks in the sharpie from the case neck stop and can reinsert the bullet to the marks and measure it.

It definitely appears to be to long for your chamber and I agree you need to see what your chamber can handle. You could have a bullet where the ogive is smaller in diameter and it chamber and work but other bullets can have a bigger ogive point.

I just bought a 6.5 PRC and was told by the company that I bought it from that that's what they recommend I use. I broke the barrel and when hunting second shot fired bullet stock would not fire try to eject. It could not eject it to save my life ended up, pounding the bolt. The case came out, but the head was stuck in the barrel. Luckily, there was an antenna on the car we had and I took it out. Didn't know what happened. Loaded the gun later in the day shot it and it worked fine. Just went hunting again. The other day fired my first shot bolted. My second stock put my safety on because it was stuck and it would not even take the safety off. Finally got it off. Same thing had to beat. The bolt shell came out and all the gunpowder and the bullet stuck in the problem this time is I was in the middle of a hunting trip and I did not have an antenna so I had to sit out the whole day of hunting because of it. I'm really trying to figure out what it is myself

Are you talking about factory ammo or handloads? If it's handloads, you need to start over from square one. Something is radically wrong here. Figure it out before something catastrophic happens. Good luck and post your findings here.

We can give you some helpful advice if we had more in-depth information.
