I used an old Belding and Mull powder dump and a cheap RCBS manual trickler for a couple years after getting the scale. It made me a believer in weighing every charge and then eventually upgraded to the V4. Accuracy first, which it seems you agree with since you bought the scale first, then comes speed.

Ignorance can lead to many mistakes in life. The great thing is there is the opportunity to learn from the many experienced and gracious members here. We all do not have the same goals and financial means, but I have found that compromising on quality has rarely made sense in the long run.

I throw with a measure then trickle with my fingers. If your fingers are clean, I don't see an issue. I do make sure to never touch the anvil side of primers, however.
We have had most Scales at one time or another and finally settled on a Super Trickler ST101 Gen 2 with a A&D FZ 120i Scale. Pretty expensive and hopefully this will be our LAST Powder Dispenser & Scale.
