243 / 6.5taball

I have a load of 45.1 gr. with a Fed 210M at 2.685 COL that shoots .477 5 shot groups ( avg of 5,- 5 shot groups) velocity is 3274 and SD is 5.3
Shot from my 24" Savage 10 at 100 yards. Have went to 45.6 but groups opened up as did SD.

Thanks I was curious My 75 yr old dad bought a browning xbolt with 22 in barrel 1-10 I was gonna start working up a load for him he's wanting to coyote and deer hunt I felt the Sierra 85gr would be versatile

85 Sierria has been my go to for the .243 since the mid 70's. Never lost a deer that was shot with them. My Savage is actually my wife's gun now. It's a bit heavy for a walking gun,but a great blind hunting weapon.

I would bet it's really good with 105-112s.

I have a lot of 6.5 staball and want to use it in my 243 with 112 match burners but due to the powder being double base, I'm sure it would decrease life of the barrel more than using h4350 or h1000

Don't take this the wrong at all but if I were shooting that heavey of a bullet in 243 I'd consider 25 06

Betting that 1 in 10 barrel wouldnt like the 105-112s.

Loaded some 75gr tipped hammers last night with stabal 6.5 to test last night. Have 3 boxes of the 85gr gamekings. Wanting to test them, but to many projects. Hodgdon data online doesnt list the 85 gk. Lots of data online Ive seen with that projectile, but not with stabal 6.5.
