As of September 2024, where to we stand with THE BEST LRF Bino with an integrated AB computer. I know Sig has made some improvements, but maybe not enough. There are also some new competitors to the market, and the technology/price point is constantly changing.

However, where we are today and without price as a limitation, in one word, who's on top? What are would you be carrying out to the field this season with everything else equal?

Leica Geovid Pro AB+. I got them this summer and haven't used them on a hunt but did use them at a 3 day LR shooting class. Here are my impressions from another post.

I have the Swaro 10x42 TA and recently bought the Leica Geovid Pro AB+. They are very similar on the optic side - both very good quality, lacking nothing IMO.

On the app side, the clear advantage goes to Leica. First off, the Swaro app only allows 3 rifle profiles which is a pain. I have not hit the limit yet in the Leicas but have loaded 5 profiles so far. I did not like having to delete profiles to add additional profiles. There are also many more inputs with the AB ballistics - can add in offset, zero conditions, etc.

I have not kept track or compared side by side, but I seem to get more consistent readings from the Leica as far as what I am aiming at with the laser. I am not sure how the lasers actually compare from a tech standpoint but I feel like I get fewer readings around the target and more on the target from the Leicas.

I will be selling the Swaros and keeping the Leicas.

If money is no issue then easy.

Vector X. We use it for snipering in the .gov. And I've had an earlier similar type in the military. I'm sure most guys that did similar work have come across vectronix.

Can't think of anything better on the commercial side. Why I wouldn't recommend them is they aren't known for working well with commercial sales, like with warranties.

Perhaps that's changed, but I doubt it. I'm all for freedom to buy the ****, but you know yall don't need range or dope to 7000. Most of you are afraid to shoot an animal shoot past 800.

Do you know how the glass compares to swaro binos? Low light viewing?
Any thoughts?

I personally would look at the Vector or the Leica. I've had very very good success with my leica's. The glass is very good.

Yeah they're about the same as a vortex razor uhd's or something in that area. They aren't ultra tier 1 glass but it's pretty decent.
The money goes into the laser system and there is a reticle in the binos for spotters.

That said, they're still ok at night or low light optically.

They have enhancers for magnification as well.

All in all it's been like a cheaper civilian versions of the vector 23. Which now that I'm thinking of it, might have better glass. Idk. It's also like $30k.

Zeiss has their own hunting app, but so for, it's functioned just fine for hunting. It will blue tooth to the binos and the binos have the weather station built in. I did learn to use absolute pressure from the bino when setting up the ballistics in the app. It's not as comprehensive as other stand alone ballistics apps, but does the trick. Of course, you can't beat the glass!
