I spent about 2.5 hours today shooting 40 rounds, shooting four rounds then letting cool with my blower and moist towels for 10 minutes or so between rounds. Did 9 sets of 4 rounds from about 30 thousands off the lands to 6 thousands into the lands. The rounds most in the lands were about perfect. Just under .2 MOA.
Here's a pic.
The SD's were pretty solid too at 4.1 with the 2.880 seating depth. Small sample at only 4 shots. So certainly higher with more rounds.
I noticed one interesting thing. The last two sets of rounds were "In the lands" and the average speed was 2940 or so compared to about 2933 when off the lands. Is this typical? I've never loaded in the lands before.
Thanks for the moist towel advice. Used it on the suppressor too…
Now I'll load up 100 rounds and start banging (Hopefully) the mile target this next weekend.
