Check this little Jewell out, Custom stocked Rem 600 chambered in 6MM Rem. I don't know who put this rifle together, but it's obvious he was a past master. The wood to metal fit is first rate, The original trigger has been worked over and works perfect at 15oz. The bore is bright and looks excellent. The blue is at least 95%, even the plastic rib down the bbl is in excellent shape and looks unmolested. 6MM Rem in this model are considerably harder to find than most other calibers, I expect you'll see ten 243s for every 6MM Rem. 18" bbl The checkered steel butt plate is a nice touch and fits excellent. I think having a stock of this quality built today would cost you considerably more than I'm asking for the whole rifle. $1450.00, I'll pay shipping and insurance and make sure it's well packaged

A lot of Rem 244/6mm were twisted 1:12 vs. 1:10 for most 243win's ... do you know what the twist rate is for your rifle here?

Would you believe 9.5.. Must be 10 " I pulled a brush through it 3 times and it would come out at 9.5 on the money, I've noticed even on custom barrels they sometimes come out a little faster or slower than advertised, so I guess it's possible with a factory Rem.

That's awesome. A great find for someone. Don't ask how I know about 1:12 but it has something to do with the fact that I knew nothing about twist rates when I tried 6mm remington 100 grain ammo in a rifle and thought that I had absolutely no shooting ability.

Just for an FYI.

From the List of Factory manufacturers twist rates:

6mm Remington - 1 in 9".... .Rem 600, 700, 4, 6, 7, 7400,7600, 742, 760, 788, 660; Browning B-78; Ruger 77.

:)

It's an estate sale deal, I have a couple more guns to advertise I haven't shot the 6mm, it's like the usual estate sale deal, the long lost nephew showed up and escaped with a couple of Nightforce scopes for 200 each, and a Zeiss. Probably traded for drugs by now. So, I didn't see any ammo to try in the Remington + no scope. I'm just the middleman on the deal, probably end up with a bag of chocolate chip cookies for my trouble.
