Cot for end of the road camping

I think any of the sturdy cots will be good. As mentioned the pad is the key. I use 4" foam from the fabric store. It will cost you nearly as much as the cot. With this setup I don't long for my bed at home on long trips in the wall tent.

I have used the Roll-A-Cot for 30 plus years. Very easy to set up and stores rolled up small like a folding chair.

Foam pad like this. When I have bought it in the past they had it on big rolls and you would have it cut to length.

I broke a side rail on my Tetongear XXL outfitter cot. Called them to get a replacement. The owner answered the phone.....took my order.....and wouldn't take any money. I told him it was all my fault, and not a product defect. He still wouldn't take my money.

That's good old fashioned American customer service.
I've used this cot for three years now with no problems, but glad to hear about their customer service.

Wolf traders turbo cot. I have a thick maybe two inch thermarest pad and have been good to go down to as cold as folks camp.

Looks like north 40 sold them, Although a cursory google search turn up not much...

Silly question, I'm used to sleeping on a couple pads on the ground. So, going to a cot with the air circulating down below will one naturally sleep colder on a cot?

I haven't used the ALPS cot but I have several of their products and have been thoroughly impressed with them all, I'm sure the cot is no exception
