I'm considering getting one of these chambered in 7MM 08. Its my understanding that they haven't been released in the US yet (according to my local dealer). I would like to know if anyone has had the opportunity to handle one or better yet shoot one. I would also like to hear about any other experiences with Sako rifles in general as this will be my first.

I've owned/shot/hunted/loaded a few older Sakos in the early nineties. I was very impressed with the quality and accuracy of their rifles. Currently I think one of the very few cons is their twist rates and non barrel threading. There may be a few models with threaded barrels. '08 is a great cartridge and twist rate should not be a problem. Good luck!

Has anyone gotten their hands on a 90 since they are now available in the US? Interested in the Peak
It's basically just the 85 with an "improved" feed mechanism. Same barrels, same stocks, same recoil lug design.

I had an 85 that didn't have any ejection issues and it was amazing. I kick myself daily for selling it. Lee, wherever you are, I hope you enjoy it
