Hello from NW Montana

Figured might as well start an account here, mostly to scoop rifle and scope deals in the classifieds haha, but also to connect with some other shooters.

I'm pretty active over on Rokslide, don't really spend any other time online.

I live in the Flathead Valley with my wife and 2 bird dogs, and we're expecting a baby girl in October. Highcountry mule deer hunting is my favorite, but I'll also be chasing elk with a longbow this season just to have another all encompassing "hobby"... you know how it goes.

It really is special here. Year round playground.

I grew up in Wisconsin, spent my first 22 years there. Moved to WA state in 2015 after school, another state full of jaw dropping beauty and some pretty incredible (and under the radar) big game hunting.

Got sick of the politics and river closures there and decided to turn our 10 year plan to be in Montana into a 5 year plan and moved here in 2022.

This is where I'll be for the long haul. Best of both worlds imho, friendly people like the Midwest where I grew up, with the big mountain adventures of the PNW.

I've got family all over Texas, mostly Brownsville, McCallen, Harlingen, but a few of 'em in the DFW area too. Padrón (my last name) is a pretty common name down that way.

Last week I was in the Cody area, if it wasn't for the wind, we might have ended up on WY, what an incredible state for an outdoorsman. Hoping to draw Region H next year for deer

I've been to Kentucky a grand total of 1 time, and all I remember was amazing food, lush green forests, and the most insane humidity I've ever experienced. Put the Gulf Coast of Texas to shame!
