Has anyone loaded 85 grain Game Kings with H4350…? Looking for a starting charge to a maximum. Having trouble finding data.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm very low on IMR 4064 and don't feel like spending a $100 for a pound of powder shipped.

Thanks

Best I could do at the moment

Thanks for the responses, the Hogden load looks on the low end, I have the Sierra book and it doesn't show H4350. But the QL load at max 43.5 grains sounds like it's in the ball park. That was close to what I loaded with the 90 grain ELDX. Which my 243 absolutely hated.

This should help you out. You're right in the middle. I will say that my best load for that bullet was with sta-ball 6.5. However I got a .607 5-5shot group average with 42.5 gr. of H4350 and it was safe in MY gun. Velocity was 2822 SD 14.8.

I've loaded around 41 grains of H4350 behind the Sierra 85 grain BTHP and found it deadly on whitetail deer. Also excellent accuracy in my Rem 700.

the load I used to have with this bullet and IMR 4064 had taken several deer for my brother. Now I'm hoping to do the same for my nephew. It's crazy how expensive powder is now especially with shipping!! I have several pounds of H4350 so I'm thinking I'll be able to get something running for him.

I worked up to 43.6 grains with the 90 grain ELDX at just under 3100 fps with no pressure signs, so I'm sure the 85 grain Game King will be somewhere close to that.
