Shopping 7mmPRC

Booked a nilgai hunt for March. I have no magnum rifle, so I'm shopping. I have decided on the 7mmPRC. As far as rifles, I've set a $1500 +/- price range. Looking for opinions HOPEFULLY from someone who owns the rifle they suggest and can give me range reports. Accuracy is always my first need. Prefer a new gun but would entertain a SLIGHTLY used one. These are on my short list:

1. Ruger American Gen II
2. Browning X-Bolt 2
3. Weatherby Adventurer 307
4. Bergara's
5. Seekins PH2
6. Remington 700
7. Tikka Roughneck

others?

From your list, the Seekins PH2 has by far the most universal praise in forums and the YouTubes...

I just went through the same process myself, and I VERY nearly bought one before deciding to spend about $1000 more on a custom build that is unlikely to shoot any better, and only weighs 3 or 4 ounces less...

I think the only problem I saw reported for PH2 was the difficulty in obtaining one...

+1 for Seekins. I've owned 4 now and love them. I worked up a load for my 300 PRC and when my brother-in-law tried the same ammunition in his gun, shot just as good in his. My 6.5 PRC shoots the same way.

The Browning XBolts are almost all shooters and they carry in hand nicer than most of em. I've had a few and they all shoot great. Put a timney on if ur trigger isnt good enough.

I have a Savage 110Ultralight 22" in 7PRC, almost new, Id consider letting go of. It shoots! Jus switchin directions.
