224 Valkyrie Build

Ok...I have a 224 Valkyrie barrel. Savage small shank. What Savage should I seek out for build? 223? Also will 224 Valkyrie work in Savage removable Magazine. Please elaborate. Thank, s in advance, D.

I had a Savage 10 action on mine and Fed thru factory 308 magazine with slight feed lip adjustment.
I got out of the Valkyrie due to too many calibers.
I sold the Savage barrel but still have ammo, brass, dies and a low round 18" SS AR barrel if you are interested.

PS: what modification, s did you make to lips on magazine? Bent inwards?

224V uses a PPC bolt head?

Yes. Bent inward very slightly.

RCBS SB 224 Valkyrie die set

I used a Valkyrie bolt head… which is the same as the 6.8 SPC head.

I also have the correct bolt head for the AR barrel for sale.
