Whats the worse rifle or gun you ever bought?

Interesting post. I didn't know that people were forced to use their right hands even if left handed. When I was a child, my Father, a metals craftsman, urged me to learn to use my left hand as well as my right (natural righthander). So I can print left handed and shoot a handgun lefthanded; the latter even feels close to natural for me. So everything I learn to do righthanded even now at 73 I take a few licks lefthanded and get the feel, unless it involves big power tools. Don't have the strength though.

Learning to do the first thing left handed involved some hard mental effort, to get the left hand and fingers to do what I wanted. It took real focus, as I'm sure you're aware. There's a learning curve, much harder on the first task, got easier as I expanded my efforts. Printing left handed was the most difficult. I was never lucky enough to have a lovely young blonde grade school teacher, though!
Let me get my story straight. My lovely blonde haired school teacher was in high school. lol

Lately I have been testing a lot of slug and buckshot loads. Yesterday the lug that holds the foreend on my single barrel Charles Daly folding 12 gauge gave up. Apparently 300 rounds of Magnum level shells is the threshold for a $110 5.5# Turkish shotgun. You can see just above the trigger where I beveled the frame with a file because it comes new with almost a 90 degree corner and it was cutting my finger during recoil.

I figured the scope base would have sheared off first but surprisingly it has held zero pretty well. Also worth noting it is fairly accurate with several of my slug loads using a rifled choke tube.

I'll get ahold of them and see if they will do anything about it...if not I'll wrap it in camp duct tape and carry on.

TNW Aero Survival rifle. Great concept, wretched implementation.
A Winchester 101, 12 ga. Beat my cheek so bad it left a bruise. Sold it at a loss to get rid of it.
I had a '85 Win 70 in .270. Bruised my cheek every time I shot it. I developed a bad flinch from that gun and sold it. Years later, was talking to my gunsmith about it and he said, "the gun was too small for you."
Ever since, I have paid close attention to gun ergonomics, and not had a problem.

I had one of those beautiful little wood Kimbers in 308. Soo frustrating. The hardest I have ever worked to make a rifle shoot and minute of baseball was as good as it got. Sold it to a fellow that was more than happy with that accuracy and, thinking it had to just be a bad example, bought another one. I said I REALLY wanted that rifle to work. Exact same results. Fool me twice shame on me.
I had a Ruger Hawkeye 77 in 7-08 like that, volleyball groups with factory ammo. I replaced the Tupperware stock with a wooden one and bedded it. Still horrible groups. Tried load development using 4064, Varget and RL15 using Hornady Interlock 139s or SST 162s and got it down to a baseball.
Thought about selling it (hate selling guns), but a friend gave me some Lehigh 147 Controlled Chaos copper bullets (cant remember the exact grain). I gave them a try using RL22. It is now consistently 1/2 MOA. Edit to add, I have 2 lbs of RL22 left in my stash....

She sure looked like the video gal! My future was cast when I was a six year old.

And a lot of rifles have too short stocks, making all kinds of problems. The custom stock on my Savage HMR had an extra inch added to the length because Savage rifle stocks are one inch too short for me.
As for my BMAG WSM, same thing about stock length. The fix was adding a cheap black rubber recoil slip over butt pad. Those give 1" added length and can be easily removed for shorter shooters.

Been lucky I guess. A San Diego neighbor was moving and I bought a nice Rem pump Shotgun - and 270 Win (forget model - both in goood shape) - cheap !! - $150 total ?. He was originally from Colorado - and was retiring and they were going to tour the country in an RV - and wife said no guns. The .270 even had a 3x9 Burris (old wide angle style) scope - still clear.

And there was a throw in - an old Savage .22 Hornet Bolt action (Originally made by Ithaka?) It weren't purty - but did shoot.

Well - the .22 Hornet needed a clip - but was perfect for Coyotes (didn't ruin the pelts) - and gave it to a grade school buddy still up in Klamath Falls, Ore - who loved using it on his cattle spread.

He ordered a clip - and just threw it behind the seat of his pickup - no worries about beating it up. :) Was plenty enuff accurate.

My worst gun was a Browning 10 gauge pump shotgun all camo
Bottom ejected
I bought it to use for turkey hunting and maybe on coyotes
Took it to my gun club to try it out
I shot one box of shells through it 😳
I realized that it was a bad choice
My cheek was sore for a week
Needless to say
"By Bye 10 gauge "
Yeah I'm a tough guy 😄

Friend - BIG GUY - loved his - but they do kick. Good for Geese too.

Rem700 LR 300wm. This was rifle that was manufactured during lousy QA era. It was bad. My tactical competition versamax shotgun grouped better with slugs than it did @100 yds. Rem said it was my ammo , they suggested several factory match grade hunting ammo including theirs. Which I said okay they suck too and they said it was probably the shooter. So I offered up to bring it to them and if they could shoot 1.5 MOA with it I would give him a hundred bucks if they couldn't let me give me a new rifle. No further correspondence.

I have many weatherbys I love, but one I hate. I bought a new Vanguard youth model in 7mm-08. It shoots and functions just fine, but for some reason it kicks like the devil's own mule. The lightest hand loads I could come up with would still knock fillings loose. I'd rather shoot a .375 H&H or 3-1/2 Turkey loads any day of the week. Headspacing? Short, light stock? I dunno. It was an absolute failure as a kid gun. I stripped the scope off and now it just sits in the safe.
