If you purchased a new non-custom rifle today, which would it be? Savage 110, Ruger Hawkeye Hunter, Browning, Winchester, Springfield Armory, Christensen Arms, Seekins Precision... I am interested in the 7 PRC. I don't have an unlimited budget, so $2K or less is the figure for the rifle alone.

Browning Xbolt has been my choice and I see no reason to look elsewhere.
Seekin Ph, Christensen Mesa LR, Savage ultra Lite, Browning X bolt LR.

I've never owned one, but I would probably pick the Seekins. However, this is only because I would like to try one. If first hand experience is critical, I would definitely pick a the Xbolt.

Seekins for me. My 300 PRC shoots .5 factory ammo all day long and it is in your price range.
I will not ever buy another Bergara. Their sub moa guaranty is worthless. My Bergara grouped like a shot gun pattern, so I sent it back to Bergara. They recrowned it and sent it back to me with a target .68 group. Again, I shot it with Hornady/Berger and Barnes. No change. Took it to my gun smith and had it checked and had them fire it. Same result. Contacted Bergara and told them no change. Gun smith said it needed to be re-barreled. Bergara said I could send it back, but they would not fire it just check it over and refused to re-barrel it. I asked how many rounds they fired to get it to group and they refused to tell me.
The Seekins shot .5 with Berger, Hornady and Barnes right out of the box.
Ok now you know why I say Seekins not Bergara.

For a 7MM PRC,.. I'd buy, a Proof Barrel of, around, 22 or 24 inches Long and Bolt it ( Check Headspace !! ) on,.. a Tikka T-3 Magnum, Action !
My son is getting, Sub 1/2 MOA Group's with, Hand. loaded, StaBall Powder and 180 gr Hornady, ELD-M's "jumping" .070 in, a Stocky's, Stock !
One, 5 shot group, measured .314 ctr to ctr,.. @ 100 yds,.. OR, just buy, a Seekin's.

Pony up and buy the Seekins at the top of your budget. You won't regret it.
