Has anybody ever used this outfitter for Elk? I am really considering them. I have never used an Outfitter or paid for a Guided hunt but would really like to harvest a decent Bull. Thanks
I've hunted with them 3 times 2013, 2015 and 2016. Killed 2 exceptional bulls, one is a 7X7 score 346 and the other was 6X6 score 315. If to book another elk hunt for me it would only be SCO. BJ and crew work their a@$ off for you to kill a bull. It's not a cake walk so do your self a favor and get in shape, you'll ride horses from daylight to dark hunting for elk. Also shoot a big gun .300 WM or .338WM they perfer large caliber rifles.Has anybody ever used this outfitter for Elk? I am really considering them. Look at his photos from 2015 & 2016 I'm the guy in the black cowboy hat on top right side of page.
Good Luck
I get the toung in cheek answer. Go big and get good with it because if you wound an elk and they can't find it your hunt is over. BJ explains this the night before the hunt begins. Both my bulls were killed < 100 yards in the timber that's not saying longer shots don't exist, be prepared before you go. These guys are Elk specialist and know what they are doing. How dare they, as outfitters....suggest that hunters bring more than a barely adequate cartridge to hunt elk! I thought that the vast majority of outfitters suggested "anything but a magnum"! memtb
