Absolutely positive. We tested 4 Chrony, Pact, a New Research, and a Magneto Speed against the Lab Radar. With the Chrony, if it is set up dead level, fresh battery, cloudy or sunny and you mark the upright straws so you are shooting within 5 inches of the sensors, I have never had any problem getting full 10 shot strings with the Chrono at 15 feet from the muzzle. It really is all about the setup.

The Lab Radar kicks its butt on the ease of setup alone and that is also why so many guys like the Magneto Speed, virtually fool proof one you attach it to the barrel. For those that find the Magneto doesn't affect their groups and/or POI, that is certainly not my experience with them and the reason I don't use them.

Magneto Speed on all my rifles I use it on, currently about 7, it only effects POI, not grouping. When groups get funky, it's because the bayonet has become loose.

I can't find the photo of the setup, but I had one Chrony that has the screen on it first, then the Chrony with the cables and then the Oehler. I was using a .375-.416 Rem with a 27.5" barrel firing 2

I'v seen this before, it's interesting, sound to measure bullet speed.

The Oehler 35P, is still available. Combne this with acoustic target sensors and system 85 Ballistic Instrumentation, then you have everything you need.

I have the Labradar unit & a $20 generic rechargeable battery pack from Runnings that gets me hours of shooting time, set on bench about 4-5" away from muzzle, turn on, aim at target & shoot. Never had any issues & get lots of info. Read the book. I shoot next to people all the time & never once picked up their muzzle velocity. Magnetosphere is great unit, I just didn't want to strap it on barrel every time a want to shoot. Buy once cry once I guess.
