Yes the Bighorns look pretty nice in the distance. Saw some p-dogs out yesterday. I'm sure they will be out again today. Have fun with the shooting!

Might have to stop using my 22-250. It often doesn't leave a lot and whats there looks a little bloodshot..... Course the eagles and other predators don't seem to mind..

I agree. going out with 223 today with a can. First time to shoot them with a can. Well see how it goes

When you see a bunch of eagles cleaning up your handiwork, are you concerned that they are being poisioned by the lead? I have always wondered about that. I've seen eagles hanging around our ground squirrel massacre sites for days.

I suppose if your using a .17HMR or so you could have some lead in the remains. Using the 22-250 I think almost all of the bullet exits. So in answer to your question, I have not worried about that.

Grind the P-dogs up and put in a glass jug after it ages it makes
a really good paste bait for Foxes and Coyotes! We don't have P-dogs
but Groundhogs are great!

Great picture. I have hunted the foothills of the Bighorns each year for several years. Living in the Northeast, the scenery alone makes it worth the trip!!!

Photo-painted this picture snapped during a hunt in the "Foothills" a few years ago...
