Re: Anybody use Rugged Ridge bipod?
I used them on an Elk Hunt in Wyoming last year in about 2 foot of snow killed an Elk at 596 yards in sitting position. Also work good in coyote hunting while sitting down you also still have 6 inches of adjustment when attached to bipod.
Re: Anybody use Rugged Ridge bipod?
I have three of them and really like them. Rugged Ridge is another company under Extreme Outer Limits. Same as MOA Rifles.
I will be helping instruct at Extreme Outer Limits shooting school in Oregon until the 8th of May. Gene charges $100 a year or $10.00 a visit if you want to join but you can shoot for free to see if you like the range or not. You are welcome to shoot any of my rifles if you want to also...
The most important thing you can do to keep your shots consistent is to do do the same thing every time. From holding the forearm to not holding the forearm to the bubble to the placement of your cheek on the stock. This shows up more in archery shooting than rifle but results are the same.
I have The ATRS Gill Brake on my 28 Nosler and my 338 Lapua. Works great have a Vias brakes on other rifles and Gill brake is way better I recommend a side port brake with no holes on bottom so dust stays down. There are a lot of great side port brakes Alamo and Terminator are real good also.
We have had a lot of snow here and winter kill will be high on elk and deer. I have several long range guns also a 300 RUM from MOA rifles out of Redmond Oregon. Shoot 215 bergers out of it. The best way to go in my opinion is with a muzzle brake all of my big guns have them noise is high but...
Look up Extreme Outer Limits shooting school in Oregon 2 days Furnish you a gun and ammo or bring your own gun and ammo pay for two nights at a motel furnish you lunch both days for $1500
I have both and if I could only have one it would be the 28 Nosler. 6.5x284 great deer and antelope but a little light for elk IMO. The 195 Berger in 28 Nosler hard to beat in BC. Get what you want or you will still want it after you get something else.
