I thought about using these, but not enough data to make me confident enough to send one into an elk. Trying out the Hammer HHT this year and also Cayugas. These still have my interest though.
Claims state that it isn’t affected by other shooters and doesn’t need a trigger to register suppressed rifles or even air rifles. Also has a 0.1fps resolution. Pretty interesting and labradar definitely needed some competition in this field.
I’ve dropped 2 elk and multiple antelope. I wouldn’t hesitate. I had a 6.5 PRC built for my girlfriend specifically for elk and it’s using 125 grain hammer HHTs.
Ordered online. Didn’t even have a gun to shoot it in at the time, but knew it would get used and will work well in quite a few calibers so I got 8lbs. I have gathered most all of my powders online in the last few years. I’m in a small town and never find anything locally.

I use a Slik 624 and a Tricer BC. I don’t use a tripod while standing, so I prefer a short one. One that I could use prone and seated. These both work decent for this. The Tricer is a bit better and more stable for shooting off of. The Slik is very nice as well though.
Most book data for my 6.5-284 Norma is wrong. The 6.5-284 was originally a short action. Once it started being chambered in a long action, it could take more powder and performed better. Most all book data is for the short action to be on the safe side. I have the long action variant and use...
Had Straight Jacket Armory build me a 6.5 prc barreled action. 20” proof and falkor action. I did a 10 shot ladder test. Found a good node and did seating tests yesterday. Shot 5 different groups of 3 shots at 400 yards. Got a grouping of 0.4 moa. This is with the sun setting straight in front...
