The only way to help prevent copper and lead fouling is to polish the bore. No matter what cleaning method or chemicals that you use, if the bore condition is addressed, you are spinning the wheels and get the same conditions after a few shots. I recommend the polishes (aka abrasives) by NECO...

scpaul: the best way I know of to remove barrel leading is with copper choreboy. Wrap it around a mop, soak it in a solvent (I like Bore Tech C4) and scrub it out. Takes a lot less time than you would think.......mater of minutes instead of days. Make sure the chore boy IS copper and not copper...

Vacuum sealing powder is especially not a good idea. Vacuum sealing primers is worthless if stored as they are intended to be stored.

I never have used any abrasive substance in my firearms since day one, and day one was a long time ago. Unless I am lapping. For carbon, I use Bore Tech C4 and I also use Slip 2000 Carbon Killer. IMO, 2 of the best dedicated products on the market.
