What are the last 3 rifles you sold and why?

I'll add some more to my story. I started hunting when I was 6 years old. That was 1956. My Dad bought me my first center fire rifle for my 14th birthday and that was 1964. I still have the rifle. It is still as accurate today as it was then. I started reloading in April, 1963. I have reloaded...

What are the last 3 rifles you sold and why?

I have not sold any of my rifles or handguns. I have given some away to deserving fellow hunters, but I have never sold a gun.

    What to use??

I always use these, the Accubond bullets because I don't shoot factory ammo. You can get some factory stuff if you wanna pay the price for them. https://www.natchezss.com/ammunition/rifle-ammunition/308-win-150gr-ab-20rd-box-ammo-no60056

    How to cut copper fouling???

The only way to help prevent copper and lead fouling is to polish the bore. No matter what cleaning method or chemicals that you use, if the bore condition is addressed, you are spinning the wheels and get the same conditions after a few shots. I recommend the polishes (aka abrasives) by NECO...

Don't get tuned onto that idea, as it ain't always the case. Matter of fact, far from it.

    Brake kleen for carbon?

Carbon is one very hard clinging substance. If you've ever had the opportunity to do a valve job on and engine, or overhauled and engine, you know how difficult it is to clean under the piston rings. A bead blaster works on these places, but is impractical on a bore. I leave brake cleaner to...

    44 mag input

scpaul: the best way I know of to remove barrel leading is with copper choreboy. Wrap it around a mop, soak it in a solvent (I like Bore Tech C4) and scrub it out. Takes a lot less time than you would think.......mater of minutes instead of days. Make sure the chore boy IS copper and not copper...

    44 mag input

I am not crapping in anyone's nest, so take this as just my opinion. I do not shoot anything harder than wheel weights, and I do not do that very often. I have been shooting cast bullets since sometime in 1967, prolly the summer of that year. Believe me when I say I used to cast bullets so...

    #9 vs M7

M pro 7 doesn't suite my needs. Hoppes #9 does nothing. Both are good powder fouling remover, but other than that neither will do nothing. The EPA killed it when they required them to change the formula. Nowadays, about the best you can get are made by Slip 2000 and Bore Tech. both will beat...

    Vacuum sealing: primers and powder

Vacuum sealing powder is especially not a good idea. Vacuum sealing primers is worthless if stored as they are intended to be stored.

A Million Dollar Opportunity!! Carbon Rings

I never have used any abrasive substance in my firearms since day one, and day one was a long time ago. Unless I am lapping. For carbon, I use Bore Tech C4 and I also use Slip 2000 Carbon Killer. IMO, 2 of the best dedicated products on the market.

What is your recoil threshold poll?

I remember it, 436. One of my school buddies had one, for a little while. the one that was THE most uncomfortable to shoot was a REM 700 BDL. It actually hurt. No one that ever shot it could do so for more that 4 shots. That was the max. I also had a 338 Win Mag that absolutely Frogged the crap...
