Frustrating morning Remington 700 went... click!

Most likely debris in the firing pin or spring that is inhibiting it from falling forward with force. Better pull it apart and clean it.

Leupold sues Nightforce over patent infringements

It is not the zero stop, it is the push button turret lock and a couple other improvements. Even the lens caps! Looks like a solid claim!

New Rear Rest - I like it!!

It is a knock off of the bipod buddy. I have had the bipod buddy for years and really like it. It takes some getting used to if you have been using a bag. The one I have is $44, way better than $125!!

    143 gr ELD-X profle ??

It is a secant ogive. It has an 8 or greater caliber radius on the nose. A tangent usually has less than a 6 caliber radius, and transitions faster.

Why do we ignore the horizontal?

Having the advantage of an underground tunnel to control the atmospherics, at Gunwerks we account for all variables in determining the load for a specific caliber, bullet style and weight, cartridge, barrel length, and contour. Measuring each bullet hole both Vertically and Horizontally will...

    Alaknak tent

I have the Alaknak in the 12x20 and the Big Horn as well. I purchased the Alaknak for our family outings and the BIghorn for more hunting with just a few guys. After using both I prefer a couple things about the Alaknak over the Big Horn. First is the higher wall. It accommodates cots along...

    I don't understand

It is all about BC and sectional density. The higher the BC and Sectional Density the more energy is delivered down range and the farther it penetrates. The 7 mm 140 has a very low BC which means it will slow down faster down range and deliver less energy and have more wind drift. So for...

About the freezing, I call around to the motels and find one that has a freezer! I have only had a couple times where I couldn't find one.

    Tips on Flying

I usually do not process it! Get the hide off, bones out, big pieces. Process when I get home. I am a bit of a cheap person, and have purchased my own processing equip over the years.

    Range Finder degrades over time?

What do the lenses look like? The light being emitted and the amount received has a lot to do with the quality of the lenses. Scratches kill performance!

    Gun Vise

You want a pattern makers vice! This is a good one. I glue leather onto the wood part of the jaws. You can clamp the rifle without damaging the surface. Buy Pattern Maker's Swiveling Vise at Woodcraft.com

    Tips on Flying

Flying with firearms is easier than most think these days. Allow a little more time to get checked in at the airport, and always insure, just in case. I fly to a number of hunts every year and have found that the most economical way to get the meat back is to purchase coolers at the location...

This wolf made it quite a ways...

I think this might be a good thing for hunters. Unfortunately WY, ID, and MT game is not worth as much as UT or AZ game. Maybe someone with enough money will get in the fight and get something done about this epidemic. I have lived and hunted in NW WY all my life, and to think I have actually...
