The feed lips are bent in a bit. A friend of mine has looked at the pictures and when we both can get the time we are going to tackle this project. The follwer looks to be the hardest part. Im thinking I can get a stuck plastic one to work with a little tweeking. Another thing that might pose a...

What we need for the AR shooters...

Hmmm, I bet I could make one. I have a life time supply of mags laying around. I have access to sheet metal and a small metal break. Bending the feed lips over wouldnt be a problem at all. The hardest thing to make would be the follower. To me it looks like it was machined out of solid UHMW.

    243 Ackley Loads

75 Gr V-max 48.5 gr H414 or Win 760 Win case WLR primers I have been using this load for varmints in My Model 700 VS .243 that was reamed to AI. Groups under 1/2" if I do my part. This loads makes small critter blow up and bigger critters fall over in the tracks.

A buddy and I went out this afternoon to do a little Gray digger killing. For rifles I brought along my Model 700 VS in .243 AI and my 16" Bull barreled AR. My buddy brought along his Model 700 VS .22-250. Our goal was 200 yard plus shots at diggers. We both ended up killing 1 each. His at 210...

No snow in my area, just windy, cool unstable crap! It cant decide if it wants to rain or if the sun wants to shine..... I guess they are calling for snow in the higher elevations.

If the weather stays like it is I wont be hunting for awhile. I may try to get out one evening next weekend and check the spots we saw all the bear during last Elk season. I have until May 31st to knock one down.
