    Accuracy tips for non-lead bullets

I just saw an article by John Barsness in the latest Hodgdon Reloading Manual on accuracy tips for copper and copper-alloy bullets. Basically, the biggest tip was to seat them deeper for a longer jump to the lands--about .050" to .100" For me, shooting the older Barnes was always hit or miss...

    Boot recommendation

My Zamberlans need to be retired and I want to get a pair of lightweight mountain boots. I know that that fit is everything...so there's no one answer. And for background, I have big, wide size 13s. Any recommendations and real world feedback would be appreciated. Also, this would be for more...

    Long-range accuracy with thermal sights

This is a pretty general query. Are there specific sights/systems that are better for long-range shooting in the dark? Do any of these sights have useful ways to dial or hold for longer shots? I'd assume that sights that have better resolution would be better for long-range work...but if not...

    Favorite piece?

I don't go anywhere without my Duckworth wool t-shirt. I think it is called the Vapor Tee. It is the bomb. It keeps me warm in the cold, stays cool in the summer, and can go a long time without get smelly. The thing is like magic. I also like their boxers made out of the same stuff. What other...

    Kettle bell routine

The TGU is a great all-body exercise that you can do with or without weights. It's best to google it, but as another member said you basically start on your back and go through a series of motions to stand up. Sounds easy. In theory is easy. In practice it will kick your ***.

    Precision Rimfire Scopes

I like that MPO scope. I have one and for the price it has a lot of good features. I need to take a look and see how close it can focus. That might be a winner.

    Die cleaning and scratched brass

Thanks for sharing that. I have read that and used that as my guide for cleaning the dies. The reason I went with the Flitz is because I didn't have any #400 or finer grit paper on hand and figured the Flitz wouldn't hurt the die. I do have a bore scope and will take a peek in there to see if...

    Kettle bell routine

My go-to Covid workout has been doing a lot of Kettle Bell swinging in conjunction with some dumb bell lifting and the TRX system. I do a lot of basic swings, turkish get-ups, some snatches and presses, but keep my reps relatively low in order to prevent my elbow tendons from getting too sore. I...

    Die cleaning and scratched brass

I thoroughly clean my brass before sizing. Like you, I've learned to be fastidious about that. I've used different lubes but have come to really like One Shot. I don't have this problem with most of my dies, but in this 6mm GT with the Redding dies I've had this issue.

    Die cleaning and scratched brass

How often do you clean your dies? I have some Redding dies that seem to require frequent cleaning to prevent the build of brass on the inside--like every 100 round or so. That seems excessive to me but is the only way I can prevent scratched cases. Solvent doesn't get the brass out, so I use...

    Ballistic Calculator for Hunting?

Do you just run with a detailed dope card or do you bring your phone, Kestrel or other electronics into the field with you when you hunt? What's your setup for making long, accurate shots quickly? I tend to run the Hornady 4DOF on my phone but that can be dicey on cold (battery life) and wet...
