    Looking to upgrade my scope

I was set on buying an NSX or ATACR until I was in the shop handling them next to the Swaro X5i. I bought the X5i and have no regrets. I took it out to the range and dialed it in 1.1 inches high at 100yds, that should have put me at zero at 200yds. Then I punched in the ballistics into the...

    Carbon Fiber Barrel Accuracy

Being that I own a couple I’d have to disagree. Keeping a steady aim while shooting freehand, despite the common misconception about heavy rifles being more steady, is more about proper balance. With older rifles you would throw a pencil barrel in a wood stock and call it done. Modern...

    NULA

Pretty much my expirience as well.

    NULA

I’ve gotten a test target with my Cooper but neither of my Nula’s came with test targets, my first Nula came with a crooked trigger and I had a problem with both of the safety’s. Probably just bad luck but I wouldn’t do it again.

    NULA

Unless you want an uncommon cartridge I’d suggest buying a Fieldcraft, from everything I’ve heard they are a fine rifle. I had 2 Nula’s and the last one I ordered was a year and a half wait. If you want one for the nostalgia of owning one then go for it, if you want one for a hunting rifle there...

    SHOT SHOW Rumors ???

That’s really good news, I hope it’s true!

6.5 CM vs 7MM-08 head to head ...

I was just thinking that would make a great cartridge. Kinda wish I had one.

New at long range shooting, what would be considered an acceptional group at 800-1000yds?

It’s a fun place to play, I’m looking forward to doing a lot more at long range, 1760 is my end goal.

New at long range shooting, what would be considered an acceptional group at 800-1000yds?

I’m not sure on what you consider a big boy, I’m actually not sure of the point you’re trying to make, I was just wondering what is considered to be a good group out to 1000yds. I understand there’s a lot more to long range shooting than range, dial, shoot. From what I understand from the...

New at long range shooting, what would be considered an acceptional group at 800-1000yds?

I do a lot of shooting, I’ve also been a guide for nearly 20 years, I just haven’t done much shooting out past 500yds. I have done a bit out to 800yds before but that was just to verify the verticals on my Zeiss rapid z 800 reticles. I guess it’s all part of the evolution of my interests.

who builds the most accurate ultralight hunting rifle?

I just went through this same scenario. I was really into ultralights but also wanted an accurate longrange rifle. I had Tikka T3 ultralight in 270, Sako Finnlights in 260rem, 270wsm and 300wsm, Kimber Montana in 280ai, Forbes model 24b in 25-06, and a couple of Melvin Forbes Nula’s, a model 24...

New at long range shooting, what would be considered an acceptional group at 800-1000yds?

I’m shooting 168gr bergers out of a 7rem mag and have a Swaro X5i for a scope. I do a lot of shooting at 100yds while doing load development I just don’t shoot past that very often. I’ve taken big game out to just over 500yds but most are 200-300yd shots, that’s why I zero at 200yds. I need a...

New at long range shooting, what would be considered an acceptional group at 800-1000yds?

I was at a point where if I had anymore rifles I’d need a new safe so I traded in a few to get the rifle. Two birds with one stone, now I have a new rifle and room in the safe! It came out to about $9950us plus taxes for the package with a titanium action, proof barrel, carbon fiber stock...

New at long range shooting, what would be considered an acceptional group at 800-1000yds?

It’s a Gunwerks rifle. I called and asked what break in procedure I should do, they said each rifle has been fired 18-36 times and do not require any further break in. They build their rifles to shoot their ammo, or vise versa but whatever they do they gave me the load data for the rifle. I...
