    .224 cartridge dilemma/discussion

Have you tried powder pro 2000? I have gotten my best groups with the heavier stuff with that. The 6.5 twist WC barrel I have does well from Berger 80's up to the Sierra 95gr. Does ok with the 75gr SMK with CFE 223. Mine is built on a PSA lower, Aero upper. Nice Rig you have there!

    .224 cartridge dilemma/discussion

I love my Valkyrie in that gas gun configureation that I put together. 6.5twist really love the heavies. Once I get the jump I need, it should be in the .3 or better catagory. Low recoil, powder grains less than 30. Gottal ove that a pound of powder goes a long way

    .224 Valkyrie?

I am working on the 90's & 95's. I have to check my head space. I know they like approx .020 jump. I have gotten approx 1" groups with mine if I use Powder Pro 2000-MR. CFE223 is a no go for the heavies. Works great with the 80gr Nos Custom Comps

    .224 Valkyrie?

The only Bullet that the CFE shot well was the 80gr Nosler Custom Competition which gave me a .462 5 shot group, including flyer. I have multiple heavies (90gr SMK, 95gr SMK, 85gr RDF & 85.5 Bergers) that 2000-MR pusses much better, the faster, the better. I have some loaded to .4- .7gr over...

    .224 Valkyrie?

Yes and no. I think it is more of a break in/ powder issue. I can shoot the factory Fed 75gr all day, no issues. Now, the only issue was the lower charge weight of the CFE. No Issues with the 2000-MR

    .224 Valkyrie?

Thanks for the interest, So, since that time this is what I have done. I finally was able to get to the ranger and work on the all the different load combinations that I had. 2 Powders (CFE223 & Powder Pro 2000-MR) 7 different Bullets (90gr SMK, 95gr SMK, 85.5gr Berger , 85gr Nos RFD, 80gr...

    .224 Valkyrie?
