Strictly a Hand-Loader. I play with ALL the BIG BOYS & I love the Baby Pill Pushers too! My PASSION is EXTREME LONG RANGE Shooting with the big bores; but finding that kind of open range in PA is getting harder every year. So about 20 years ago I started toying with the .17 VLR & .17 PPC from designs by Todd Kindler from the WoodChuck Den in Baltic, Ohio., and a few others to see what kind of results I could achieve! I've produced .143 groups with a 5 shots string out of my Custom built .17 VLR at 100 yards. At 300 yards I can NAIL a DIME every time! Interested in hearing from any Hand-Loader or Varmint shooters who specialize in EXTREME LONG RANGE PILL Launching! I was experimenting with the Sub Calibers at 500 - 600 yards until Walt Burger DESTROYED my DREAMS for Small Caliber Sensations when he discontinued the 37gr VLD bullet; I closely guarded the supply of the 37gr VLD's that I had on hand; that was until I happened upon REED's AMMO. I just ordered a box of his 32gr HP HBBT's with a renewed VISION of EXPLODING VARMINTS! He told me he has future plans for a 37gr and 40gr .17 bullets; this was sweet music to my ears! He's going to be my NEW BEST FRIEND! I'm a renowned Slayer of Pennsylvania Ground Hogs and Coyotes and a Prairie Dogs WORST NIGHTMARE in South Dakota! I give those Pocket Gophers & Ground Squirrels HELL in Minnesota as well! I dream of doing some Coyote, Wolf, and Elk Hunting one day in the near future. Any tips from experienced shooters of these elusive animals, I'd enjoy hearing from! I'm LQQKING to make some new friends that are OUT THERE like me!
