    6mm Creedmoor barrel twist?

Great information guys. I was going to do a 1-7.5 twist, but he had this one (7 twist) in stock. Diamond fluting and 24 inches long plus a custom muzzle brake. I changed out the bolt shroud and bolt head to PTG. Did away with the barrel nut, changed the trigger group to the savage 8-ounce...

    6mm Creedmoor barrel twist?

Thank you for the replies. Maybe the 1-7 twist would be fine for what I am doing with it.

    6mm Creedmoor barrel twist?

If I take the 1-7 twist, he has that one in stock. If I do the 1-75 twist, it may take a few weeks or months to get a barrel. I don't use the barrel nut system on my savage builds. I have them direct threaded with a normal lug.

    6mm Creedmoor barrel twist?

I just talked to my gunsmith this morning and he only has the 1-7 twist in stock. I will have him order a 1-7.5 twist.

    6mm Creedmoor barrel twist?

I am building a new 6mm Creedmoor on a savage action that I had in the safe. I sold the barrels I had, and I am doing a 24 inch 1-7 or 1-8 twist. My gunsmith has both barrels in stock, and I will have it diamond fluted. Yes I know....why a Savage action....no one wanted to buy the gun so I...

    Savage bottom bolt release conversion

I will order some shims just to have. I ordered the sear and trigger from Gun Shack as a set. There are worse things to spend money on I guess?

    Savage bottom bolt release conversion

The stock is already clearanced but the action will need machined.

    Savage bottom bolt release conversion

Trigger and sear are ordered. I have had terrible luck with dealing directly with PTG. If I can't find it "in stock" somewhere I won't order it. PTG will tell you it's in stock and then not deliver. I don't care to do that again. All parts are ordered, and it will take some time to...

    Savage bottom bolt release conversion

My wife knows what actions cost and she is questioning my sanity for putting this much money in a Savage action. I ordered the PTG straight fluted bolt shroud and bolt head from Midway to make it identical to my other rifle. I am changing out the large tactical bolt to the tear drop one...

    Savage bottom bolt release conversion

Well, it looks like I will be the guinea pig...lol I have ordered all the parts and talked with the gun smith. He thinks it will be straight forward, but I had to buy the trigger with the sear because no one could tell me for sure if the new sear with work with the current trigger assy. I'm...

    Savage bottom bolt release conversion

I have researched this to death and there are some variables that I am hoping someone can assist with. I am building a second custom rifle on a Savage 10/110 action with a Bell and Carlson stock. This one has the bottom bolt release and will need converted. I have located the sear to do...
