    Bear Rifle Optic Suggestions

Ok, things to bear in mind. 1) PA doesn't allow bait. 2) PA doesn't allow dogs for hunting big game. 3) most of PA's bear hunting is done with drives. 4) unless you're sitting on a farmers field, where he just harvested his corn, shots on bear in PA are mostly within 100 yards.

    Help with 7MM - 140grTGK

You ran a ladder test? Or a seating depth test? Ladder usually used for finding powder charge.

Opinions on a long range caliber

My thoughts... If you do 7PRC, you'll definitely be depressed. Oh, wait... You said suppressed... Yeah, i still stand by what I said. Better off getting a throating reamer and seat the heavy bullets out on a 7mm Rem Mag. More case capacity, abundant and inexpensive brass choices.

    Fast twist 25cal build

I bought a Shilen last year for the purpose of building a short range Benchrest rifle. First thing that struck me when I unpacked it was, " WOW, a premium priced barrel & this is the best that they can do with the bluing!?" Really, their bluing is not spectacular! My plans have gone in other...

    Help with 7MM - 140grTGK

I start at 0.020" from the lands with cup & core bullets. This is where all the Sierra bullets have done well. The exceptions being Berger VLD at 0.005" off the lands and Nosler RDF at 0.030" off the lands.

    7mm Elk Bullets- Berger Alternates

Hard to beat the Berger bullets. The VLD are one of my go to bullets. The other being the Nosler Ballistic Tips. My daughter took a nice 6pt a few years ago with my Ruger 77 MKII in 257 Roberts using the 115gr Berger VLD at about 70 yards. "He kinda puffed up, went straight legged and fell...

    Remage/Savage build

I've done 3 so far. Don't have any pictures. 1) Stevens 200 in 7mm-08. Took the barrel off & reamed the chamber to 7mm-08 AI. 6,000 rounds later, screwed an E.R. Shaw 24" sporter on in 250 Savage. Took 2 deer & a number of coyotes with it. Really wanted the 7mm-08AI back. Bought a Savage...

    Best 1” scopes

I tried all but the Leupold. For the money, your going to be really hard pressed to beat Crimson Trace! Really good glass! Silky smooth adjustments. I have 4 of their Hardline Series, and a Series 2 FFP. PS. I have 4 Burris Fullfields that I'm sending back in for warranty. Glass is ok...

    E. R. SHAW Ar15 barrels?

Ditto. I have 4 of their rifle barrels that have performed quite well as hunting rifles.

Is your favorite rifle custom made or factory made ? I have a close tie

I have several. Weatherby Mark V Weathermark LT in 7mm Weatherby Magnum. Ruger 77 MKII in 257 Roberts. Savage 111 rebarreled to 257 Roberts AI. Stevens 200 that I reamed the chamber to 7mm-08 AI.

    Set and Forget Scope Recommendation

I've been using Crimson Trace Hardline scopes lately. Light weight. Good glass! I don't use an illuminated reticle. If its too dark to see the reticle, it's too dark to see whatever/whoever else might be there.

I'm new and trying to better understand my options for modifying my Tikka T3 270 WSM

Your probably better off with finding a stock and doing the bedding. Nothing is quite exact tolleranced enough to get one fits all perfectly. Much like reloading. THIS works in MY rifle. YOU may end up with different results in YOUR rifle. A GOOD bedding job is your best option for optimal...
