I think that the sights were taken of and there is a sleave that covers up the tapered end of the barrel.

I have a 1903 that has been rechamberd to a 300 win mag. It had a tapered barrel but has had a crown installed. I am wondering if a brake could be installed on this barrel? If so, what would it take.

I believe the rule is so you can't go hunt deer with a 22lr. The two inch rule applys to a 22 Cal not necessarily to larger rounds.
