    Reloading Supplies

Big box store (Scheels, Dicks, Cabelas) managers don't care enough to be bought with $50

    Reloading Supplies

Same boat here, I've pretty much given up looking daily for reloading supplies locally as many of the retired guys now know they schedules of all the stores and are literally there when the shelves are stocked to buy out everything (been told that a 4 different locations in my city).

What’s your five? 5 Calibers to do it all...

We just had this debate at my desk yesterday with some coworkers. My caliber list is .22/5.56, .257, .264/6.5mm, .284/7mm, .338. The cartridges are I picked are all based on what I own and what I would use them for: 22 K-Hornet: Might be my favorite cartridge on the list. More wallop than a...

    Saved so much money reloading!!

There are a lot of guys at my work asking me about reloading. They all want to get into it with the current ammo shortage/gouging situation. I tell every single one that reloading is a black hole of money and you won't save a dime, you just end up shooting more.

280 AI vs 7 mm SAUM

I went through the same debate with myself a little over a year ago. I decided on 280AI simply because brass is easier to find and cheaper to buy and worst case scenario I can use 30-06, 270, 280Rem, etc to make my own brass. Can't do that with 7mm SAUM

    Duct Tape on muzzle brake

How hard is it to wear hearing protection? I have a set of muffs that even amplify sound until a gun shot goes off and then it mufflers it just like normal ear protection. I can hear deer from 150 yards off. That's way better then doing something with tape that could either screw up your gun or...

    SHORT ACTIONS ARE STUPID!!

I wanted to comment essentially the same thing. With the originally posters logic, everyone should just shoot 50bmg because why should you shoot anything less? People have no common sense anymore and a blatant need to just spill out any thought that comes to their head without thinking and its...

    SHORT ACTIONS ARE STUPID!!

I bet you're one of those guys who have used the phrase "Real men only shoot magnums"

My frustration with the word "custom".

I like the term assem-built (assemble + built) for all those "custom" rifles on the market. I had a 280AI rifle built that is could definitely be considered "Custom" and I still hate using that term because of how meaningless its become.

    Making Primers?

Hopefully this works, also it appears it was the "Reloading Podcast" not the "We Like Shooting" podcast. Both are on the Firearms Radio Network and I listen to them weekly. Link: http://www.firearmsradio.net/reloading-podcast-331-making-your-own-primers-is-that-really-possible/ This podcast...

    Making Primers?

The "We Like Shooting" podcast just had a guest on who has a company that allows you to reload your primers. I believe it was episode number 383 titled Honky Dory. Give it a listen because primer reloading is going to be a thing very soon. Fair warning, they're a little raw on this podcast...

280 Ackley or something more common?

You're certainly not wrong. It started gaining popularity after Nosler got it SAAMI approved, they should have been advertising the heck out of it but didn't and now that you pointed that out, you're probably right in saying it won't gain the same popularity as the Creedmoor because of it. I...

280 Ackley or something more common?

This is just me reading the room but the buzz behind 280AI in the last couple years has really picked up. It seems like every other day on this site someone is asking about the 280AI and another site I am on its pretty much everyday. It feels a lot like 2009-2011ish with the 6.5 Creedmoor and...

    Do all rifle???

^ This right here. 280AI is picking up speed with manufactures in the past few years. I wouldn't be surprised to see it as the long action equivalent of the 6.5 Creedmoor popularity-wise in the next 5 years.

    Forester coax or MEC

From what I've read here, and other places as well, the Frankford Arsenal might look visually similar to the Co-Ax but functionally they are completely different in how the ram is used. Whether that means the Frankford is inferior or not to the Co-Ax, I am not sure but it appears the two work...
