    Zero Range

Agreed... I think 200 yds is a happy medium for dial, or hold overs.... need to start using the hold over to see how close I can come..... but need to go to Mica Range for that.

    Zero Range

I was just thinking about that last night...... very good Idea! No better application then keeping a dope card. Thank You Canhunter!

    Zero Range

I'd like to go out to Mica today, but I have the kids over. Make sure you go to the Rifle Range and not the pistol range.... I made that mistake once, and thought there is no way to shoot a rifle here..... Finally found the right one. All there is is a turn out beside the north side of the...

    Zero Range

Thanks for the info CA48...... yes, it does make sense. Hello livetohunt, yes I am speaking of mica peak...... very observant *grins I'm asking the questions so I can get back out there.... Right now I'm a member of the rifle club on the river..... I've had arm and hand surgery which made my...

    Zero Range

Hello all, I know it's been a long time visiting the site...... but there are all to many real life issues going on right now..... Anyway, I've got a Lupa .338 magnum. What would you suggest my zero range? Right now I'm shooting at a 100 yard target with an average of 1moa group. Should I...

    Finally Recieved My Suppressors

Of course now is not the time to ask which suppressor would be best for my .223, 5.56 and 6.8. One of the local dealers here suggested one suppressor for all...... So I purchased an "Advanced Armament Corp - AAC Ratchet Mount" for all of the above mentioned weapons. I also purchased a .40...

    .223 and 5.56

I've got an AR frame that is imprinted on the barrel .223/5.56. Logically I can use either. I have a bullpup that is imprinted with just 5.56. I can see it would be a bad thing to shoot 5.56 in a weapon that is printed with .223. Question: Can I shoot .223 in a weapon imprinted with 5.56...

Differences Between Barrel Size And Threads

yep.... except it's a muzzle break. I got a call today from the local dealers.... they had ordered the correct one for the Travor. Good bunch of guys down there.... they go the extra step to get things right. And I thank all for getting me going the right direction. Cheers, Ron

Differences Between Barrel Size And Threads

you're correct... I miss spoke the brakes I purchased are 1/2"X28 thread pitch. The suppressor' box reads 51T. I heard the salesman say you're looking for a Twist of 51. now is that 51 twists per inch??? I don't know. Personally I don't think I was talking to the right salesman since he was...

Differences Between Barrel Size And Threads

Well I finally got my Stamps....Someone stated here that the background check for a stamp is as bad as the background check for a gun. In WA. after you get your stamp you still need to do the same background check as you do purchasing any weapon. I purchased a suppressor for my .223/5.56 -...

Remove and Replace Scope on Picatinny Rail

Pretty much what I was thinking or hoping to hear from someone lol. I've got the cases for each of my weapons, but when you can cut down your packing by 50% with the cases built for two with the middle foam it would be nice to be able to utilize the spare room.... although I need to remove the...

How many purposes for your rifle?

I would have to agree with Tnwhip on this one. Well said. Since a few years back I can't shoot 4 legged animals anymore..... not sure what happened. I'm not bragging but I switched from firearms to a bow because it was to easy to make a kill with the modern day rifles/scopes. Well, after...

Remove and Replace Scope on Picatinny Rail

Thanks ShtrRdy.... I think I'm going to give it a try.... one click each way might have been the mount... But that raises the question was the scope mounted flat level and plain originally or the other way around. I think one would need to make some pretty good bench marks at it's zero. I was...

Remove and Replace Scope on Picatinny Rail

As the title reads I'm wondering if I can remove a zeroed scope (mounted on Picatinny Rail) take it off, and replace it in the same position and still have it zeroed? I'm wondering because I had to purchase an extra large case for my 110LM, and there is room for another rifle if I could take...

338 Win Mag vs. 338 Lapua Mag

Exactly! It doesn't have the stopping power for light armored vehicles, but it shoots flatter than the .50, and can reach out there. I watched a documentary of various long range shots..... One was a Brit, in Afghanistan. I believe it was over mile..... the Sniper said his first shot was low...
