Have been using the 6 XC a little now, finding it surprisingly efficient even on decent bodied deer. Must've shot 20-25 by now and the 105gr bullets seems to do the same job as any 6,5.

Thanks guys. The films have grown into a hobby as big as the shooting. Currently fiddling with a dedicated audio recorder, so hoping to improve the films further.

I did a similar mistake this year, shot a deer in a ravine and I needed to get it UP. It was less than 100 yards/meters up to the edge, but it certainly cost a fair bit of effort and swearing.

I have an Atec Optima and the overall weight should be right around 6,5 kgs or roughly 12 lbs. The rifle is a nightmare to shoot without the silencer, perfectly managable and not unpleasant with the silencer.

300 Norma certainly has enough power, but I'm finding it a little problematic too shoot fast with it due the previous 20 years of shooting 6,5mms. Anyway, first hunting film for 2018
