Yep, a 36 Nosler. I am looking forward wringing this one out. Used 30 Nosler brass to neck up and fire form.

    Announcing the New Hammer HHT

Waiting on our tip mold to get done so we can move forward. I am planning to take my 36 Nosler to Africa on May 4. I need the big bore tip before then! I'm about to go load develop bullets that are missing tips and hope that the tip size matches our hollow point size. Hopefully that works...

    Announcing the New Hammer HHT

Sorry I'm so late to the party. Hunting in Feb and a family get together this month and I've been out of the loop for a month or so. 7prc: I loaded mine last fall with the 170gr Hammer HHT with rl26, 26" Proof, on a Tikka action. The Tikka limits the oal a bit. My load nets 3130 fps. I...

    Custom action @ $1,000 ??

Look at Mac Brothers or Wby 307. We have used quite a few Mac Bros and like them a lot. Just got a couple 307's we should have twisted up in a month or two when barrels arrive.

    Garmin chronograph

It's worth having. No aiming issues, doesn't trigger from other shooters, and doesn't seem to ever miss a shot.

    Prayer Request

I don't know that it is better or worse. I just know he is doing well. And yes, prayers work!

    Bipods for hunting

I can't shoot as well off a bipod. I gave up and just shoot off a backpack. If really long I carry a short set of sticks for the front and backpack for the rear. As solid as bags on the bench.

We have replaced the triggers in our Brownings with Timney triggers.

    Browning X-Bolt Mountain Pro

I think the Browning Hell's Canyon line is one of the best out of the box rifles on the market. We have had several and they have all been solid shooters. I wouldn't talk anyone out of buying one.

    Butte, MT

Butte is a bit ugly with the pit. Surrounding area is beautiful country. Winters can be pretty tough there.

    Nitride a barrel?

Following. We have done several but have not put the round count down to make a judgement. We do shoot a few shots through the barrel before sending it in for nitriding. You don't want any burrs or anything present. Once nitrided they will be there for the long haul.

    From Fordy

I am guessing that that happened when we moved our forum from a free hosting site to our own servers. We basically had to start all over with a new forum.

Why do you use Match bullets hunting?

No apology needed. I did not mean to sound like I was directed at you. I just quoted your post as it fit what I was talking about.

Why do you use Match bullets hunting?

Not all copper bullets are created the same. There are a ton of different manufacturing processes and exponential choices of copper alloy and variations within specific alloys. You can't lump all copper bullets into the same category any more than you can lump all lead core bullets into one...
