I have a gun I am looking to get a muzzle brake installed on. My local gunsmith wants to charge $300 to install the brake and ceracote the barreled action. The gun is brand new, so can I just get a brake installed without refinished the barreled action? He does not want to install just the brake...

Ok, which muscle brake would be best for a .300 WSM?

I'm having a new barreled action put together in .300 WSM. I'm using a Kreiger barrel with Sendero contour and a round 4 port muscle brake. I wanted to get the brake turned down to 1" and then taper to the diameter of the barrel which is .830. My smith is telling me that since the brake uses 3/4...

Mcmillan is a short action right?

I have a .325 WSM in the x-bolt white gold medallion and it is a consistant less than 1/2" gun at 100yds with my reloads. I also have a 7mm rem mag a-bolt that is a consistant 1/2" gun at 100 yds with my reloads.

There is an A-bolt with a Hart barrel and trued action on gunbroker right now, so it can be done. Hart did the work on the rifle.
