    Premium 22LR Rifles

Slightly off topic but I put a Volquartsen target barrel on my Ruger 10/22 and it shoots any ammo extremely accurately. I don't have photos but I hit tiny targets at 100 yards while I let my other rifles cool.

What the heck happened. Did someone get hurt???

What the heck, did someone get hurt??? Swept up some brass at the indoor range for reloading and found this in the pile. I wonder what happened; did the gun survive; did the shooter survive??? Any guesses??

    Bullet temp in flight

I had my doubts about the high temp tips but I have had an interesting personal situation where Barnes TSX bullets were more accurate than the TTSX. It made me wonder about the tips becoming deformed then Hornaday comes out with their high temp tip. I have not tried them as I have drifted away...

    Flashlight

I'm With you on UK Dive lights. Underwater Kinetics. I've had two small (four AAs) and two larger (four Cs) for a good 25 -30 years. Once while backpacking in the sierras I was squatting on a log over a lake, doing dishes. I had my only flashlight in my back pocket. It squirted out and I...

    Winchester 94 commemorative pricing

I found a near perfect 94 from 1979 at a pawn shop. Paid $300 for it four years ago. I'm reloading with those rubber pointed bullets that I can't remember the name of at this moment. Shoots amazing, really fun. I just have trouble with consistent ejection. I hit a 2' square target at 300...

    Shotgun reloading

Don't switch primers. Primers will greatly affect your pressures. Fed primers generally = higher pressures than Win. using the same amount of powder. Then there are slight variances in the diameters of primers so I use Fiocchi primers for European hulls and Win 209 for US hulls. Generally...

Good OU 20 gauge for Sporing clays

I love my O/Us. Browning and B. Rizzini. Guerini split off from B. Rizzini cousins and are similarly made guns. I shoot 28ga, 20ga, 16ga and 12ga. All have 28" barrels. Maybe a little short for sporting clays but a good compromise if you also hunt with it. I reload and with today's...

I have a friend in Arbuckle. No doubt you know him. His name is the same as his dad but most of his friends call him Pete.

    270 load data

This one worked for me. Noser brass weighed. COAL 3.280. Length to ogive 2.719. Barnes TTSX 110. 56 RL17. Win large primer. Velocity 3275+. Shot great from my Tikka. These were a couple of my first shots through the rifle. I had not even adjusted the scope well yet.

    A Man and His Rifle

So I had a Safari grade Win. Mod 70 in 7RM. The wood was beautiful. I was on a goat hunt and I had a small herd way out in an open field with no cover. There was a little shallow ditch, maybe 18" that looped out towards them. So there I go crawling on my stomach with my head down and laying...

My Boys Want a Lever Action

A friend of mine went to work for a pawn shop fixing guitars. He mentioned they also sold guns. I said if I was to buy another gun it would be a Win. 94 3030. He said, we have one!! I bought it. beautiful condition. 1972. Man does it shoot. I reloaded with LeverRevolution and the rubber...
