    SELLER: Oldsteelrunner

Please beware - he is a scammer. I posted a WTB ZEISS 6-24x50 and he started a conversation with me two days later with an offer. He sent this: “Selling a Zeiss Conquest V4 - 6-24x50 with ZMOA-1 illuminated reticle. Scope has been mounted on rifle taken to range several times, but has never...

    Zeiss V4 6-24X50

Have a new rifle and looking for this scope to put on it. Preference toward illuminated reticle and exposed/locking windage turret. Wanted to see if one of you might have one sitting in the safe or got one and changed direction on optic. Thanks!

    Reloder 16 and 7mm 160 Accubonds

I’m in the Dallas area. Just got a 280 AI and ready to start loading for it. Really like the accubonds in my 7-08 so would like to try and stick with those. I have a mess load of Varget, 7828SSC, 8208, RL15, RL10x, etc but really want to go with RL16 based on my quickload results.

    Reloder 16 and 7mm 160 Accubonds

I know I am looking for two ghosts but thought I would give it a try. Thanks!

    Rifle weight

I was planning ongoing with 160 or so grains in the 280. Do you have any reservation with 140/150 on larger critters? I am shooting 140AB out of my 7mm-08 already.

    Rifle weight

Sounds like around 8 pounds with scope would be ideal and try to stay under 9 pounds total. really appreciate the insight fellas!

    Rifle weight

Charlie makes a good point about caliber - i hunt with short actions (7mm-08) and there is no real consideration for me on recoil. The 280 AI is clearly going to have a bit more punch. I should say that I also reload and enjoy target shooting and working up loads so trying to find a compromise...

Reloading - Is it still really worth it?

I'm not sure how much money I save these days, especially given primer costs but never started to save money. For me, its all about the ability to customize a load and achieve accuracy for a specific gun that you almost never can get from factory loads. Its also a terrific excuse to "escape"...

    VAP TKO Broadhead insert problems

I had that problem until I switched to Firenock Aeroinserts in steel. It increased my front weight which I was looking for and they are rock solid. You wont have the problem you are having with outserts once you switch to the inserts.

6.8 spc and hammer 85, anyone tried it?

Really interested in what you find with that combination.... been using sierra 110 pro hunters and they are crazy accurate but not incredibly tough bullets. Looking to try something else in my 6.8.

    Rifle weight

I am planning to get a 280 AI for larger critters than I normally hunt (whitetail) when we burn our points in a couple years. Most of my rifles are a bit on the heavy side an wondering how critical rifle weight is going to be hiking around Colorado for instance. What weight should I be focused...
