I love it! I run it in my 375cheytac, 338RUM, 284win, and 6x62 freres. It’s tough as nails and will take a lot of abuse and still hold primers! Yes they don’t have the weight consistency as some of the others but for the life I get out of it it’s worth it to sort in batches to me!!!

What do you want me say??? I can push the 285’s out of a 31” barrel 3100fps without tearing up my brass! I don’t know of anyone getting those speeds out of a Lapua or an edge. Case capacity can exceed useable capacity! I don’t own an edge so I can’t tell you why the extra 12 grains capacity...

I just ask if you can get 3100fps with a 285gr bullet out of the edge? That 12 extra grains capacity gets you no where if you can’t use it!

And have brass life! The Lapua can’t do it!!!

The edge is a joke! My 338RUM out performs every edge and standard Lapua it’s been against ballistically if that’s even a word lol! You can’t hardly beat the straight 338RUM in the 338 class unless you go to a Cheytac sized case!

The 338RUM outshines all the ones you listed! Is that the best cartridge for the task at hand? Maybe not! You should really look at a fast 7mm 28nosler or 7WSM but if you want a heavy hitter that you can do ELR with later then I would run with the 338RUM and the 285gr ELD-m’s

338LM in a 31” barrel is running 2890 with Rel33 and 285elds. You might get to 3000 or so with the improved but I wouldn’t count on it! I’ve had the 285’s to 2400 in my RUM but I’m pushing them 3100. Either the 285eld or 300otm will suit you fine just run them on the warm side to get your speed...
