    Accubond LR question

Just wondering if anyone has used these on game. Piticularly with a fast 6.5 of some sort. Just curious how they hold up in the 50-400 yard range. I should have my new 6.5wsm shortly. And would like to also use them in my 6.5-284. Just concerned that if a close shot presents itself the bullets...

    New build question

Thanks a lot.... I was doing some measuring of rounds and was worried I may have to seat the bullet to beep. A friend has a .270wsm just built basically the same as what I want. That gun shoots great. Since I am a 6.5 fan and am stocked on bullets. I figured to try the 6.5wsm. I looked at the 26...

    New build question

I am going to have a 6.5wsm built. I am just about to order all the parts. My question is in coal and if I should go long action instead. I am going to use a Montana Rifle Company Action short action, 3.125" of mag length. The bullets I want to shoot are accubond 130 LR and Berger VLD 140. So...

    Rifle Build question

I am debating to sell my Cooper Model 22 Montana Varminter in .243ai. Or build off another action from ground up. The Cooper is very very accurate hard to spin the barrel off because it shoots so well. But I am sticking to trying slim down the caliber so own. Staying with 6.5's mainly. I also...

    Cooper M22 .243ai misfires?

Cooper I am sure will have no problem fixing it. The primers on the ones seem to be set alittle deeper. Also they did send me very promptly a new spring. They wanted me to send in the bolt. But it is winter and coyote season. They sent me the spring. I'll try that. I did buy another box of ammo...

    Cooper M22 .243ai misfires?

Thanks, I'll check it when I replace the spring. That cold make it strike light.

    Cooper M22 .243ai misfires?

Trigger is at 2.5 pounds. They sent me a new spring. We will see if that helps. These were Federal Primers. So not sure if it will make much difference. We will see. It shoots very well.

    Cooper M22 .243ai misfires?

I was shooting some factory Federal Ballistic tips through this rifle and was getting misfires. The primers looked hit but not a sharp hit more of a crator type hit. Cooper say regular .243 can be shot. I took apart the bolt and cleaned it. Lubed with G96. Wasn't very dirty. Hoping this fixes...

    Cooper Model 22 Montana Varminter

I been doing a lot of measuring. I will be putting a Ziess conquest hd 5 2-10x42 on this gun. Seems Medium Talleys will work but maybe a tad high. The lows should work. But it is guess with the penny trick and a Nikon 42 mm scope which is close to the same size as the ziess. Bolt seems like it...

    Cooper .243 AI

Alright, I just sealed the deal a few minutes ago.... I new it was less than 1/2 new. Just wasn't sure what the used market would bring. I guess it shoots very well.... Has approximately 70 rounds through it. Have to fire form the empty brass. As they are from a regular .243

    Cooper .243 AI

So, you think a M22 Montana Varminter with 60 rounds and set of reding dies is worth $1000? Throat, bore and stock is like new. Very few rounds down it.

Ok, pulled the trigger on a Cooper

First stop has a few different models in the 6.5-284. And scheels may have one. I know they an Excaliber in 7mm. And a few pheonix as well as others.

Ok, pulled the trigger on a Cooper

If your looking for a standard one with a 24" barrel some stocking dealers have them. So no wait.

Ok, pulled the trigger on a Cooper

Lead time was 6-8 months. But the dealer said that he had ordered one first week of November and it arrived Friday. So luck of the draw I suppose when they build it. Also the more higher end the longer wait. Mine was pretty much standard with a 26" barrel and a brake added. Krieger Barrel could...
