    fob

Drop rest aside... There still is problem of FOB going between bottom rail and scope mount rail at back of TAC. There is barely enough clearance for arrows vanes that have to be set at specific angles.

    fob

After looking at FOB, I do not see how it could be used with TAC X-bows. Unmodified TACs require the arrow fletching to be 4-fletched with vanes at 60 degree x 120 degree to fit in string slot (area between rail and scope mount). Modified TACs, those with cutoff scope mounts or scope mount...

    Which Broadhead for Tac-15

I like "NAP Spitfire XP 100gr". Old thread on Broadheads: http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f34/what-your-favorite-lr-broadhead-41771/

    TAC 15i questions

When I get back, I will have to check mine. Been a while since I looked whole TAC15i over.

    TAC 15i questions

Just found the write up on "Aerovane Tool" (brass bar). "Most metal straight clamp type jigs with the Aerovane tool installed would be usable to fletch the Aerovane effectively. Please note that although the Arizona Easy Fletch straight clamp claims to be straight, it is actually has a 1...

    TAC 15i questions

I think you can use a regular clamp if you modify it. The Aerovanes are not flat like a regular vane. Aerovanes have a raised curve, forming an airfoil, which induces the spin. To properly clamp Aerovanes, you need a small brass bar strip glued on to inside of clamp right along edge. The...

    TAC 15i questions

Using three vanes will require modifying the TAC15i's upper rail (where scope mounts). Either cutting rail down in length or cutting a slot down middle long enough to allow cock vane. You might consider using three Aerovanes fletched straight and at 120-degree positions. The Aerovanes induce...

    Fletching Tac 15i arrows

I have always tried to align spline with weak side on top (12 o'clock high). Letting arrow flex away from rail of TAC-15i. Main thing is consistency. Weak side of every arrow (or bolt) in same position (12:00 or 6:00 or ...).

New TAC 15 Scope Rail Off - Suggestions?

I was able to bolt my scope directly on picatinney rail with standard rings (no MOA compensation). I don't remember anybody else here mentioning the need for special MOA compensation rings or ring inserts --- Except when they were trying to use a plain scope for distances well beyond 100-yards...

New TAC 15 Scope Rail Off - Suggestions?

I don't have access to my TAC 15i at the moment to double check. But that does not sound right at all. The picatinny rail should be parallel to top of body where arrow sits. Gap between bottom of picatinny rail and body where arrow sits should be same at front and back. Wonder if pcatinny...

New TAC 15 Scope Rail Off - Suggestions?

Did you make sure your new TAC 15 is setup to Center Shot? I am assuming it came with a Whisker Biscuit? Link to getting a TAC 15 very close to Center Shot: http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f108/those-who-love-setting-center-shot-113876/

    Broadheads for the Tac 15

As powerful and hard hitting as TAC-15 arrows are, I think you could put a blunt tip on arrow, and still take a deer down. (Not that I would.) Despite using NAPP MAXX with 1-3/4 inch cut, the arrows from TAC-15 blow through deer like shooting through couple layers of cardboard. Virtually...

    Tac Elite shooting left

Clarifying, the Flat Line Oscillation method was not invented by me. Appears to be done by "Bob Bowers" / Super91. I have my own "method"... ;)
