    Three down this weekend.

I totally agree , that's what separates those that shoot 1 or 2 a year compared to those that shoot a dozen to 50 + a year or more, it doesn't take long to figure this out if you truly have a passion for it.

    Three down this weekend.

I called three in this weekend with fawn distress this will work until July anyway, and coyote pups in distress is prime now also, most dyed in the wool yote killers are on the same page. Not saying baby bunny distress won't work now , they will dozens of recent out of nest cottontails around...

    Found a floating dot scope.

Second focal plane with the dot being 0.625 I'm almost to the point of putting a cheap Mueller with the dot on it till something better is made.

    Found a floating dot scope.

My only concern as of yet, is the dot may be too large at the extreme ranges. Haven't placed the order yet with Cameraland till my scope being returned arrives safely.

    Found a floating dot scope.

Cheap isn't always bad, for one season I used a Vortex Crossfire 2 with Vbrite floating dot 6x18x44 I think, I never missed a shot out to the ranges , 100 yards to 250 yards that I encounter.Lots of scopes can get the job done without going north of 1K , especially shooting varmints. And a pile...

Need a good floating dot type scope for varmints.

The Sightron didn't work for me I sent it back mine wouldn't focus and the dot was invisible in my scenarios , and my eyesight is perfect plus some, go figure.

I killed at least two coyotes with one shot.

If they ever did in Ohio, I guess I'd just break the law, after all laws are meant to be broken, if it wasn't so I'd be unemployed.👍

Need a good floating dot type scope for varmints.

Thanks for all the replies, but i've settled on a I settled on a Hawke 6x24x50 illuminated, long rang dot reticle with holdover I believe it will work, Doug at Cameraland set me up.

    Found a floating dot scope.

Settled on a Hawke 6x24x50 ir sf lr , decent enough for my application, what really sold me is the wide field of view, clean reticle . And thanks for the help Doug at Cameraland has given me in this process, while scopes that cost twice the price are very nice they won't accomplish anything that...

Doug , thanks I've returned the other one and will definitely give this a once over, PS, Neil is great!

Need a good floating dot type scope for varmints.

Any ideas seems scope manufacturers have left varmint hunters by the wayside, who makes a simple floating dot with crosshairs converging but not touching , prefer illumination feature also. Purchased a Sightron but the dot is so fine the dot gets lost in commonly encountered hunting scenarios...

This morning mighty fine shooting imo.

Excellent accounts, my shots were intentional, just checking the accuracy of my diminutive 17 hornet round the shots presented and I delivered. I guess its sighted in.

This morning mighty fine shooting imo.

Rare occasion but it flattens them, same with GH's

A 17 hornet in the mouth can ruin your day.

Took this GH in the mouth at 100 yards 15 grain Hornady at 3850 fps.
