I settled on 115 gr partitions (older, sleeker style) over IMR 4831 at 3100. It was deadly.

24" for any 25-06 I do, and I was able to get to 3047 avg with H4831. I could have pushed them harder, or used a different powder and got a bunch more speed, I think.

I had a 25-06 1:7.5tw built from them. Shot great. I tried some 120gr Hammer Hunters in it and it handled it very well.

They're fantastic. I prefer them over Talleys, just upgrading to 30mm rings of the same kind. They have some small paint(?) chips, but it's only cosmetic. I've never had to lap any pair of these I have had. They're 6-48 screws, so normal 700 thread pattern. Medium height $45 to your door...

Pure Precision (formerly Mesa Precision Arms) builds muzzleloaders with their Altitude, which is made by AG. I've seen some smokepoles with other AG stocks as well.

Not really recent, but back in 2021 I got a 25-06 fast twist barrel (#1 sporter) and it shot amazingly, right out of the box. After that I got a 280 AI barrel exactly like it that also shot very well. This was 4 shots with factory Superformance SSTs: I found a load with 115gr Partitions...

I'm looking for a sub-$800 scope with a 1” maintube. I want at least 3x on the low end, doesn’t have to have a crazy high end. I’m even good with 10x. Anyone have recommendations for good, reliable optics in that price point?
