    Passing thru Frankfurt with Guns

Thanks for the reply. I have heard that you can leave your guns at the airport for a few hours while you sight see but, I do not know for sure. That is my plan if it is so. My connecting flight shouldn't be an issue since I'll arrive in the morning and leave about 8 pm Thanks Mudbug

    Passing thru Frankfurt with Guns

I am planning to go back to Namibia in 2012 for another plains game hunt and would like to know if anyone has gone thru Frankfurt, Germany with their guns? We flew to Johannesburg first and then back to Namibia and I would rather get a direct flight from Frankfurt and cut Jo'burg out. My plan...

Scopes are gonna be the death of me

Since you live in Austin, stop by Cabelas and see what they have in the bargain cave. I have picked up some very good deals on Leupolds. Also may want to try brunoshooters.com, they are a little cheaper than alot of other places. Mudbug

    BVSS VLP .308 Newbie Questions

The palm swell fills up my hand and keeps it relaxed when I'm firing. The VLP doesn't have that and my hand has started to cramp in the past.

    BVSS VLP .308 Newbie Questions

I have a BVSS 243 win and a 25-06 VLP. I prefer the BVSS stock because of the palm swell on the grip. As far as bases go, I use Leupold QR and the QR rings and have not had a problem yet with them. Mudbug

    95 gr Bergers for 243

I have a Savage Model 12BVSS 243 that I shoot the 95gr Berger's in. They stablize fine for me and group well at 200 yards with 3/4 inch about the norm for my rifle. Speed wise I'm getting 3075 fps that's with Lapua brass, winchester large rifle primers and 42 gr's of H4350. They do a very...

    brass or nylon bore brushes

I have both kinds of brushes and prefer the brass brushes with brass cores because of the tighter fit. I'm pretty sure that the brass brush won't hurt your barrel because it is softer than steel. Mudbug

Sizing down 6.5 lapua brass to 6

I am now just starting to load for the 6-284 and all I had to do was take Lapua 6.5-284 brass lube it well and run it thru my 6-284 Redding full length die. Didn't have any shoulders collapse. I did run a few thru my redding bushing die with a 280 bushing at first and didn't have any problems...

    Primers backing out!!

I even shot 56.5 gr of retumbo and had the same thing happen. The primers were flat on both loads. I'm thinking that since the cases had to stretch so much forward that may have caused the primers to back out, not sure though. I'm going to reload a couple of the once fired cases and see if it...
