    LabRadar Repairs

I had an error message that ultimately required repair. Communication via email was prompt and they emailed me an RMA. Took about 2 weeks from the time I sent it in.

    Sig Kilo8k just tried it….

I have one and love it. Quick readings, intuitive programming and reliable so far.

    Meopta experience

My hunting partner had an Optika 6. For about 3 years, it operated perfectly with great glass and he was pleased. Last season, it started losing zero suddenly and hasn't tracked well since, causing him to miss 2 animals. Rather than sending it in for warranty replacement, he replaced it with...

    Recommended 270 Winchester brass

I usually use Lapua, but due to shortages have tried all sorts of brass. I have been impressed with Sig brass and am currently running it in 223, 270 and 7mmRM.

    Aftermarket tikka bottom metal

I have used some of the aftermarket Tikka bottom metals for years and am now of the opinion that they are purely cosmetic. The factory bottom metals have metal pillars in them and I can torque them to whatever spec I need. The aftermarket ones are much better looking and feel better. But, the...

    Toughest optic

In addition, I would argue that a lot of folks do not have their scopes mounted properly for the correct eye relief. I see this all the time at the range. I have an NX8, which is a scope that gets a bad rap for poor eyebox. I spent the time to get the proper eye relief when mounting and have...

    Toughest optic

This is excellent advice. Until I had a scope fail, I assumed that all scope tracked, held zero, etc and I shopped for glass quality. Now, I shop for reliability first, glass quality second. If a scope isn't reliable, it doesn't matter how good the glass is...

    Toughest optic

Do you own an SWFA? I have several and disagree with your last statement. Their base models are good scopes and HD models are even better. The glass on the base models is certainly not as good as my Trijicons and Nightforces, but is more than adequate. The glass on the HD models is every bit...

Swfa for an expensive custom rifle? Does it make sense?

^^^This. I place much more emphasis on reliability as an aiming device with a scope than I do glass quality. I have several SWFA scopes and they have all served me well.
