To piggyback on this. Probably not your issue but I had a tikka that the little plastic insert for the ring base, a chunk of it didn’t come out and the base screw pushed it down in there far enough to contact the bolt and cause issues.

Pretty low draw odds but it is a super fun hunt. I drew the off range a couple years ago and hope to draw again. It’s my favorite animal to eat.

I’ve shot a cow elk at ~50yds and an oryx at ~75yds with the 200eldx out of a 300wsm and was very happy with the results on both. Neither went more than about 10yards after shot. Pass thru on the cow and in the offside hide on the oryx.
