I’m with Col Whelen (“Only accurate rifles are interesting”), I don’t get too attached to rifles that can’t shoot small groups. Got too many I don’t use, so selling some and plan to end up with 3 or 4 very accurate rifles. Love reloading.
Here in the South we have 4 months of whitetail hunting and I get in 20 or so half day hunts. One weeklong western big game hunt (elk/mulie) a year. Probably 10 half day turkeys hunts during our 6 week season.
Nothing too exotic for me.
Two years ago I bow hunted on an OTC tag in CO and got a nice 6x6 bugling bull. Best hunt so far.
This coming year, cause I’m 67 and not getting younger, gonna burn my 26 CO elk preference points on a draw hunt and take my 28Nos on it’s maiden hunt shooting 170 HHT’s.
I’ve started coating some bullets with hexagonal boron nitride after reading about it here. Results seem good but I can’t say cause and effect.
