Bright isn’t always best:
Generally when I am working on the road I am running my light at 150’ish lumens. The light helps me look at detail and also be seen by heavy equipment operators and the public. When I hike in the dark for hunting, I’m using about the same lumens. Having the light...
I work at night doing road construction. I wear a Princeton Tec on my hard hat. I pull long shifts many nights in a row and the Made in USA princeton tec is the best way to go.

They have many industrial and tactical options.
Thank you for this information. This may give me an excuse to do some hunting (camping and hiking) for some days. The cost last year for an over the counter tag was $360 for a non-res, so definitely in my price range.
Thread jack here…
I’ve got a potential trip to El Paso area this coming March. I will be driving my 4x4 truck and equipped to camp. I’m looking to mix in a hunt but don’t want to break the bank. Any ideas on a 3+ day or so Audad opportunity? Prices I’m seeing advertised are in the $4K - $5K...
I bought my wife a pair of 10x32 ELs right before Swaro announced the NLs. I really like the size of the 10x32s and find myself borrowing them. They work great off the RRS tripod with the Cinch clamp.
I still love my 12x50 ELs, but those little 32mm objective ELs carry and spot game so well.
I have a new rifle, it’s a Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmore
I’ve never mounted a scope to a rail before, and am confused by all my choices.
This rifle will be used for plinking and California pig hunting on private property ranch.
if this rifle is a shooter, I could see trying to reach out...
Thank you for this information. I just won a Howa 24” barreled 300 PRC at our CA Wild Sheep Foundation fundraiser. The grandson wants the rifle and I have a bunch of LRT powder to play with. We need lead free for California though…
The adapter is only if you already have a non “TCFT” RRS “Series 2“ or “Series 3” tripod. The threaded adapter in the bottom of the anvil will allow the head to be mounted on most tripods without an adapter.
The TCFT tripods have the Anvil 30 head built in to the legs already. If you don’t...
Two Vets is made in China.
RRS is made in USA and employs veterans. The guy in charge of RRS’s SOAR unit is a Marine.
I use an Anvil 30 on a TFCT 24L tripod. I put their binocular clamp on my EL 12x50s. The system is very fast to go from glassing to shooting.
When I backpack, I remove the...
In my state, California, our Governor, is already fundraising to make abortion part of our constitution. I think I’ve received at least three (3) text messages from the party expressing outrage at the SCOTUS ruling and trying to raise money off the issue. California used to be such a great state 😕
My wife does great pulled pork with the insta pot.
I like the flavor better using my Weber Smokefire, but haven’t been able to get the wild hog as tender on the pellet grill yet.
