    Optics for aging eyes

Well, I’m only 49 but my eyesight definitely isn’t as sharp as it once was. In the past 2 years I’ve traded up magnification and quality. A few years ago a VX3 or Zeiss Conquest was “good enough” for me. Now my rifles have Sightron S3’s, Khales 525i, Leupold MK5hd’s, and waiting for a Nightforce...

Khales 525i low light performance feedback wanted

I will, but our deer season in Alabama is just getting cranked up. Doesn’t end until Feb 10th. Then I’ll have some free time. And yes, I will post my opinion of the two.

Khales 525i low light performance feedback wanted

I mounted mine, but haven’t had the time to sight it in yet. Also received a Leupold MK5hd 5-25x56 this week. It’ll be interesting to see which I like more. Both appear to be crystal clear (no surprise at this price point).

Actually originally from the Florida panhandle, but moved up to Alabama about 8 years ago. I spent 6 years at Robins AFB. Did quite a bit of hunting there when I wasn’t deployed.

That’s what I’m really hoping for. I’m really hoping it will be a dual purpose optic. Most of my benchrest type scopes aren’t stellar in low light. They’re not bad by any means, but some of my “hunting scopes” (Leupolds) are definitely brighter.

Khales 525i low light performance feedback wanted

Good evening folks. I was fortunate enough to win a Khales K525i recently (arrives Friday actually). I had a Khales Helica years ago that was a good optic for hunting purposes, but had tracking issues. It was fairly good in low light conditions. My question is concerning the new line, and how...

Good evening folks. Longtime reader of the information in this group, but recently joined to ask some specific optics questions. Lifelong hunter, and shooter. Looking forward to sharing and gaining knowledge. One can never know it all in this sport. Mike~
