A guy I went to school with has hunted Mexico for many years but will not go after last years experience.Go with the same guide and last year were robbed entering a few gates were robbed, zipped tied, and left in the desert.Inside job ?Not sure but scary-he speaks fluent Spanish and didn't hear...
I was running the 100 grain Barnes and now switched to the Hammer 92grain hunter.Farthest shot was 650 and she just stumbled and tipped over with the Barnes.Had some mixed results with Barnes. So far the Hammers have 3 kills-1 at 100yards and 2 between 400 and 450 and great results so far.7828...
I have really liked the Zeiss HD 3x15 with the target turrets.Cuurrently have 3 of them and a 5x25 and have been hunted from minus 15 up to 90 degrees and have been flawless. If you watch the classifieds you can find them under $700.Send Kenton the info on load and you should be stoked
If you reload and run a 10 twist check out the 92 grain hammers. Running them north of 3800fps ( probably could get more) into little groups with 7828 ssc.. Running a Zeiss HD 3x15 with good luck .
Have fun it is a fun one.
Think Steve at Hammer has someone loading custom ammo for them and might not be that much more then factory if you want to try the hammers.I had either great luck with the ttsx and then a few that werent so good is why I am giving the hammers a try.Hard to go wrong with the noslers
I am running a Zeiss hd 3x15 with a Kenton turret on my 257 bee.Very simple and worked well to 650 yards.I change from 100 grain barnes to the hammers recently and changed the turret-so far all 3 of those scopes have been flawless.
I second the 7828ssc!
