It was not necessarily intended for .375 H&H, but Berger 379 and 407 ELRM bullets recommended a 1:8" or greater barrel twist.

For one thing, the barrel twist is not a typo. These days, I do not think a 1:8" is no longer considered fast for the bullet choices...
